1-Rudof Rassendyll was an English rich man, He was 29 years old. He did not like working because his family was rich and had enough money and his brother Report was a lord Burleson. His sister –in-law Rose suggested him a job with Sir Jacob. He accepted the job as it will be after six months. He was an officer in the Queen’s army. He speaks many languages. He was good at using gun, sword, riding horses. He decided to travel to Ruritania the fictional country in the middle of Europe to attend the coronation of the King Elphberg, but he told his family that he was going to The Alps to write a book about social problems.
2-He took a train from Paris to Ruritania after spending a day in Paris with his two friend George Featherly and Bertrand Bertram.
3-At the borders the soldiers were amazed because he was like the King. He decided not to stay in the capital as there were no hotels so he stayed in Zenda which was 80 km from The capital. He stayed in a small inn run by an old lady and her two daughters who told him that they wanted The Duke Micheal to a king(why) .
3-The castle of Zenda belonged to The Duke which was well-built. There was a moat around it and a drawbridge reached it with a mansion.
4-He decided to walk in the forest to see the king. He slept and was waken by Sapt and Fritz who were special men of the king. When the king saw him could not believe his eyes because they were alike.Sapt objected to taking Rassendyll to coronation because people may mistake the king.
5-The king invited Rassendyll in the hunting Lodge .After meal the king was unconsciousness because the cake sent by Michael was poisoned. So Sapt suggested that Rassendyll should impersonate the king because he was like him. They put the king in a cellar and locked Johan’s mother because she overheard the plan.Josf the servant will tell Micheal that the king had left the lodge.
6-On the way to the station Sapt taught Rassendyll many thing about the king.When they arrived at the station of the capital people shouted (God save the King).
7-Marshal Strakencz who was an important man in the army and soldiers met him .He was nervous and worried.
8-Poor people supported The Duke but the rich supported the king(why) .
9-No one could recognize that Rassendyll was not the king even Antoinette de Muban who was a French widow and came the this country by an invitation from the Duke to attend the coronation.
10-He decided to ride alone through the poor street to make himself popular among the poor. (How and why)
11-Micheal was surprised when he saw the false king and his face was white.
12-Princess Flavia who was the cousin of the king and will be his wife did not recognize that Rassendyll was not the real king. He was announced that he was a king after some ceremonies. But he was worried when he saw Lord Tephom whose eyesight was poor.(why)
13-After coronation Sapt and Rassendyll had to go to Zenda to bring the real king ,but they could not leave the city without permission from the king as Michael controlled the city so Spat copied the king's signature on a form and gave a coin and the copied form to the daughter of the guard.
14-On their way to Zenda they saw The Duke and Max Holf were going to Zenda too.
15-When they reached the hunting lodge they found that the king was kidnapped and the servant Josef was killed. They found that Johan’s mother was not locked .
16-Sapt asked Rassendyll to continue with the game they started but Rassendyll seemed to be afraid but Sapt persuaded him that Michael could not tell people that Rassendyll was not the real king as people would ask him about the real king and he could not tell them that he had kidnapped him and killed his servant.
17-Rassendyll doubts that the Princess might discover him because she noticed that he changed.
18-Michael's men came to the lodge to hide the evil deed and burry Josef’s body so Rassendyll saw that one of them must join Josef. They shot guns to them, but Rassendyll was injured in his finger .
19-They went to a farm to rest and Rassendyll told the farmer that he had a toothache so as not to recognize him.
20-At the palace Fritz did not know Rassendyll and the savant Frelyer asked the king about his injury .They told him that his finger was caught in a door. He reasoned his injury that he had a toothache and once his finger caught in the door
21-Rassendyll was afraid of Michael's six men who were loyal to Michael.(three from Ruatrina and three are foreigners.
22-Rassndyll kept some secrets .He wanted to make himself popular with the poor people to forgive him if he was discovered and support him if there was a fight with The Duke.
23-Flavia was surprised when she heard that the king wanted Michael to be near him as she knows that they did not love each other.


24-Rassendyll made some mistakes when he did not allow his brother to enter the room as the royal rules. He thanked him for the splendid coronation so Michael introduced some of his men to Rassendyll to frighten him.
25-Rassendyll tried to tell Flavia the secret but Sapt stopped him .The Princess usually asked the king to be careful as his life was important for the people of Ruritaina.

28-She claimed that she revealed the secret because she did not want to see people being killed.

33-Rassendyll asked Marshal to guard the princess and wait a message everyday and if he did not receive messages for three days he declared himself the head of Strelsua and asked Micheal to see the king within 24 hours if he did not see the king he announced that Flavia is the queen.

35-They took a party of gentlemen and servants and told them that the mission is to save a friend of the king who was a prisoner at the castle. They stayed in Tarlenhiem a house of one of Fritz’s relative
36-Rassendyll asked Johann to be spy .Johann did not  want Michael’s plan to succeed because if it succeeded he would be in trouble .He did not like Micheal but he was afraid of him.
37-Rupert offered an offer to Rassendyll that is 50,000 English pounds and safe journey to the borders. Another offer was 1,000,000 gold pieces and safe journey. When Rassendyll refused Repuret stabbed him in his shoulder and escaped.
38-If they attacked the castle they would kill the king and put him under water so nothing would save the king unless one of Michael’s men betrays him or a miracle.
39-Rassendyll killed Max because it was a war and if he did not kill him Max would do. Inside the castle the real king asked Decherd why his bother did not kill him .The king was ill and weak.
40-The English ambassador was about to cause a problem when asked about an English citizen got lost in Zenda.He asked the chief of the police to return after two weeks.
41-Rupert offered his evil plan that Michael must die because he was not good man and makes him angry. Spat and Fritz must die .The real king must die and Rassendyll would be a king and Repurt must be rewarded.
42-Micheal imprisoned Madame in the mansion because he discovered that she helped Rassendyll .she helped the ill king with the doctor.
43-He made a plan to save the king .He asked Johann to tell Antoinette to cry at two o'clock to attract Micheal and his men's attention at the same time Johann open the front door of the castle to Sapt and his men. But the plan failed because she cried an hour earlier when Rupert killed Michael.
44-Rassendyll killed three of Michael's men and freed the king. During his fight with Decherd the king could not fight directly because he was chained and weak but he pushed the chair between his leg so he fell over the body of the poor doctor then Rassendyll found it was easy to kill him.
45-The boy revealed the secret when he told Flavia that the king was behind a tree so Sapt explained everything. She thanked Rassendyll and the real king thanked him because he taught him what the king should do.
